This is a "daily wear" collar designed for its look and meaning, not play. It is constructed of solid sterling silver fittings and cording of your choice. The cord can be in nearly any color or material but needs to be a 3mm size. It can be made to any length but the recommendation is that it be made to drape just at the base of the neck in a steady curve. The rings come in many different words and if we don't list a word you want a custom ring can be made with your word on it (this would be an additional charge of $15 per custom ring.). The "rings" and the heart shaped clasp can be placed in any order the purchaser wants. The rings DO NOT need to be already included in/attached to the necklace. This is so that you can create a daily wear collar that can transition from "Un-Owned" to "Collar of Consideration" to "Training Collar" to "Formal Ownership Collar" (or any other progression you would like to define) by just adding a ring or rings and reducing the length of the satin cord (To maintain the correct drape length). The extra rings will be provided with the needed links for connecting them to the collar when that time comes. (Any jeweler can add them for you when needed.)

Sizing for the "Affirmation Necklace" needs to be determined by how loose you want this piece to hang and where you want the Affirmation rings to rest.  The easiest way to determine the needed length is to take butcher twine (string), or a cotton string that can be found at most grocery stores in the meat department.  (This is the string that they use to tie roasts or rotisserie chickens.)  Take a quarter(s) (.25 cents) or something that is equal to this in size and weight and tape one end of the string to the quarter 2/3 of the way from the bottom of the quarter, leaving a 1/8 inch gap between each coin for each Affirmation Ring.  Be sure to use the number of coins that is the same as the number of rings you're ordering plus one to account for the heart clasp.  Place the quarters at the location you wish the heart clasp and affirmation rings to rest when the piece is worn. Wrap the string around the neck and tie it. When you are able to get the coin(s) to stay in the correct spot you want it/them to hang, have the wearer move around a bit.  Cut the string and lay it out in a straight line. Measure it from end to end with a seamstress tape or tape measure. Order the length of the "Affirmation Necklace" that is the next larger 1/8 inch on the seamstress tape or tape measure.  Your collar will be made at exactly the ordered length.

When selecting the affirmations you want on your necklace please also let us know in what order you want them. This is done by selecting them in the order 1-6 from left to right as you view the wearer of the finished piece. Be sure to include the "Heart Shaped Clasp" in the left to right progression so we will know where you want it to go. Example: If you want the necklace to read from left to right as you view the wearer as "Truth", "Trust", "Heart Clasp", "Honesty", "Love", you will select as follows:

• Affirmation Ring #1 = Truth
• Affirmation Ring #2 = Trust
• Affirmation Ring #3 = Heart Clasp (bottom of select list)
• Affirmation Ring #4 = Honesty
• Affirmation Ring #5 = Love
